A letter to you, lost in the world

Dear friend,

I know how it feels to be lost and unsure of your purpose in life. It's a feeling that can be overwhelming and even paralyzing at times. But I want you to know that you are not alone, and there is hope.

First, let me tell you that it's okay to feel lost. It happens to numerous people at different points in life. Many people go through life feeling unsure of their purpose, what they’re doing or who they are. These people can be children, teens, even adults and the elderly. It's a journey that takes time, patience, and self-reflection. But the important thing is to keep moving forward.

I encourage you to take some time to reflect on what brings you joy and fulfillment. This is a great place to start finding your north again. What are your passions? What activities make you feel most alive? Or your can even start with something simple like what do you like to eat? Build on these clues as it can help guide you towards your identity and purpose.

Remember, your purpose doesn't have to be some grand, lofty goal. It can be something as simple as bringing joy to others, finding meaning in the little things, honing a craft, or living a life that aligns with your values. Whatever it is, it's unique to you and your journey.

And guess what: it's okay to make mistakes and take detours along the way. You dont have to have everything figured out. No one does! Life is a journey full of twists and turns, and sometimes it's the detours that lead us to where we need to be.

Finally, I want to remind you that you are enough. You don't need to have it all figured out right now. You are deserving of love and respect, just as you are. Take the time to care for yourself and be gentle with yourself during this journey.

I believe in you and your ability to find your purpose. Keep moving forward, and know that you are not alone.

With love and empathy,

Hansel Wong
