Hansel’s Office

My approach to counselling is one of care and respect.

After hundred of clients and thousands of therapy hours, I’ve found that showing honoring your true emotions and giving them time and understanding helps people live richer, more meaningful lives.

I can’t promise to solve all your issues.

But what I can promise is a dedication and patience to understand your world. I will walk you through the challenges you’re facing, map out the roads you must to take, and make clear what you see in the mirror.

The practice I have involves Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) with a Holistic approach to ensure strong rapport and goal setting. We’ll be allies in overcoming your goals. My work is also complimented by current research, expert studies, tools and tests to guide you in finding the answers you’re searching for.

My Personal Journey

For me, it all began at fifteen as the "relationship advice" guy to my high school mates. Honestly, it wasn’t so much about advice; but something about listening to their stories made me feel like I had special access to their worlds.

By twenty-one, I was a community youth leader spending time with pre-teens as their lives opened up to the world of dating, social media, and…

What kind of person do I want to be?

This was a questions that stunned me as well. Despite my affinity for helping others, I didn’t know if this is what I wants to do full time. I took a year off to really think about what I wanted to do with my life (and had the best time working as a barista).

Fortunately, my one year hiatus only affirmed my desire. I came back with a passion for psychology and, in the next 8 years, I completed both my undergraduate degree in psychology and masters degree in counselling.

However, it was not a journey without cost.

Completing my masters dried up my finances, strained my relationships and left me questioning my purpose as counsellor. It took a significant mental toll: depression sank in deep

I had to humbly admit that being in mental health does not immune me to mental health issues. With my support system, I was able to overcome this with a deeper level of understanding and resolve to help others.

If I could achieve success in one thing, I would like it to be in helping others

Today, I live my best life: I am able to continually develop my skills by creating a safe space for individuals in need, providing talks to bust psychology myths and coaching organizations to tackle mental health on a personal and systemic scale.
